Privacy Policy

Who We Are

TaxosAgent.com Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation, operates this platform. We are a fintech platform that connects clients with licensed tax professionals who prepare, sign, and file returns under their own credentials — combining AI-assisted document intelligence, bookkeeping, and financial strategy with licensed-professional review.

What We Collect

Account data: name, email, phone, address, business entity type. Tax data: documents you upload, returns prepared through the platform, strategies we surface. Usage data: pages viewed, features used, time spent. Payment data: processed via Stripe; we do not store card numbers.

How We Use Your Data

To connect you with the licensed professionals who prepare and file your returns, deliver bookkeeping services, surface tax strategies, and provide professional review. We use anonymized patterns from documents to improve Genie's accuracy across all clients.

Cookies, Analytics & Ad Pixels

First-party analytics (always on). To run the site we record strictly-necessary usage — pages viewed, features used, and a first-touch marketing origin (which campaign or link brought you here). This data is first-party, is never sold, and carries nothing financial. It is stored on our own infrastructure, not shared with any ad network.

Advertising pixels (off until you accept). With your consent, we load the Meta and TikTok advertising pixels to measure the performance of our ads. These do not load or fire until you affirmatively accept them in our cookie banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a standing opt-out and never load them.

Meta Conversions API. When you have accepted pixels and complete a free-review signup, we also send a matching server-side event to Meta so the conversion is measured accurately even if the browser pixel is blocked. The only identifier included is a one-way SHA-256 hash of your email; your raw email is never transmitted, and the two events are de-duplicated by a shared event id.

What advertising events never contain. No income, no savings figures, no uploaded documents, and no return contents are ever sent to Meta, TikTok, or any advertising network — regardless of your consent choice.

Your controls. Accept or decline in the banner; change your mind any time via Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information; or send a GPC signal from your browser. Declining or opting out never affects your ability to use the platform.

Data Retention

Anonymous uploads (no account): permanent. PII is scrubbed; only patterns retained for system learning. Signed-up clients: retained per longest applicable IRS retention period — typically seven (7) years from the latest of filing date, due date, or assessment; indefinitely if a fraud flag applies. Deletion requests: account closed but tax records retained per statute for your audit defense. After retention expires, cryptographic destruction with audit trail.

Who Has Access

Licensed professionals on our team review your returns under strict NDA. Subprocessors include Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic and Google (AI inference), Stripe (payments). We do not sell your data. Ever.

Your Rights

Under CCPA, GDPR, and state laws: access, correction, deletion (subject to retention obligations above), portability, and objection to processing. Request via privacy@taxosagent.com.

Security

WISP compliant per IRS Pub 5293. PII scrubbed at sub-millisecond latency before AI processing. Encryption at rest and in transit. Audit logs immutable.
